Welcome, I’m so glad you’re here!
I’m Lindsay Foreman
Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic & Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Therapist in California
A Holistic Approach
to Therapy
I’m a therapist in Sacramento, California, specializing in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for individuals and couples.
My approach integrates attachment theory, Gottman Method, Somatic Therapy, trauma-informed care, and depth-oriented psychotherapy. These aren’t one-size-fits-all methods—they’re flexible, intuitive frameworks we’ll tailor to your unique nervous system, emotional patterns, and relationship dynamics.
Whether you’re seeking support for trauma healing, relationship struggles, or personal growth, I offer an inclusive, grounded space to reconnect with yourself and others.
I offer a space where you can slow down, be fully seen, and begin to make sense of what’s been hard.
Therapy by Lindsay
Therapy with me is both structured and fluid—practical and deeply relational. My approach focuses on the emotional, physical, spiritual, and psychological layers of our healing.
I believe growth occurs when we tend to the whole self, honoring our body, heart, and inner world by uplifting the intuitive wisdom it already carries.
We might laugh, cry, meditate, pull tarot cards, all while we dive deep into the parts too tender to name.
Our work is about coming home to yourself—understanding your emotions, needs, and adaptive patterns—so you can communicate better in your relationships and use tools to feel safer, feel confident, and experience more self love.
I help monogamous, queer, and polyamorous couples navigate relationship challenges by breaking conflict cycles, healing attachment wounds, improving emotional communication, intimacy issues, and building trust and safety.
The Process
Therapy offers a space to show up fully—as you are-vulnerable, curious, wounded, and overwhelmed. In the safety of that space, we begin to gently uncover what hurts, what’s been hidden, and what’s ready to shift.
Together, we tend to the deeper layers of your inner world—reorganizing patterns, healing old wounds, and making space for clarity, truth, and lasting change.
This work isn’t about fixing what’s broken. It’s about returning to what’s real. Therapy provides a framework for living with greater purpose, reflecting on your life with honesty, and embodying your truth and building safety and trust within yourself.
It’s okay to want more—from your relationships, from your life, from yourself.
If something inside you is whispering—or screaming—that it’s time for change or you crave a deeper connection, then it’s the right time to start therapy.
I help you uncover what is unconscious and insecure, causing conflict, and rebuild a relationship with a conscious and secure foundation. I help you break free from people-pleasing, perfectionism, or shutting down—so you can build more secure, meaningful relationships with yourself and others.

IFS helps you explore the different parts within you—like the inner critic, the inner child, or the perfectionist. Each part carries its own fears, needs, and patterns. Rather than trying to silence or fix them, IFS invites you to meet these parts with curiosity and compassion. As you better understand yourself, you begin to respond to life with clarity and intention, instead of reactivity.

EFT helps couples move out of reactive cycles and into deeper emotional connection. Rooted in attachment theory, it explores the needs and vulnerabilities beneath the conflict. Instead of criticism or shutdown, you’ll learn how to reach for one another with safety, softness, and trust—building a secure bond, even when things feel hard.

The body holds insight that words can’t always reach. Somatic therapy helps you tune into sensation, tension, breath, and movement as messengers. Together, we explore the body’s language to uncover what’s been held, what’s asking to be felt, and what wants to be released. This work supports healing from the inside out—using the body as a guide back to your truth.
